Spyware- Spyware is a program that surreptitiously monitors your actions. While they are sometimes sinister, like a remote control program used by a hacker, software companies have been known to use spyware to gather data about customers. Spyware programs can also direct banner ads and other unwanted advertising your way. Spyware also uses your computing resources, slowing down your system. If you have multiple pieces of spyware running, the system can be slowed down so much that it can become unusable. How do you get ride of spyware? The best way is not to get it in the first place. Use a browser that has security built in, such as firefox. Be careful downloading free software from the Internet. Be sure to read the EULA- End User Licenses Agreements. They will usually tip you off that you are getting something other than what the program is advertised as doing. If you think you are running spyware, use the below program to remove them.
